Kevlar® in movies and television

The reputation DuPont™ Kevlar® has earned as a tough, lightweight material that can help protect human life and improve the performance of just about anything it's in has caught the attention of the entertainment industry.  Kevlar® has made a number of appearances in movies and television shows, often figuring directly into storylines.

Kevlar® helps protect Batman in "Batman Begins" (Universal Pictures, 2005) with a state-of-the-art suit that was supposedly the product of military research and development.

"The Sentinel"

In the 2006 thriller "The Sentinel" (20th Century Fox, 2006), U.S. Secret Service agent Pete Garrison (played by Michael Douglas) is saved when his bullet-resistant vest—which he explicitly states is made with Kevlar® - prevents a bullet from entering his body.

"Test Lab"
