2007 Annual Review: Renewably Sourced Materials
This is one in a series of articles on the DuPont 2007 Annual Review.
In the DuPont 2007 Annual Review, six of the company's recent success stories are highlighted. One of the six focuses on "renewably sourced materials" with the following example:
"Zemea™ Renewably Sourced Propanediol for Cosmetics and Personal Care, a product of DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products, Zemea™ renewably sourced propanediol is used in cosmetics and personal care applications. In 2007, Terra Naturals, Inc. introduced the first deodorants with
Zemea™. Made from corn sugar, Zemea™ replaces numerous petroleum-derived glycols in a variety of consumer applications. Look for Zemea™ in products ranging from moisturizers to shampoos to liquid detergents in 2008 and beyond."
