Linda Fisher Named “Woman of the Year”
The Women’s Council on Energy and the Environment (WCEE) has named Linda Fisher, DuPont vice president and chief sustainability officer, “Woman of the Year” for her leadership and accomplishments in sustainable growth and the environment.
“I am honored to be recognized by the Women's Council on Energy and the Environment," Linda said.
WCEE cited Linda’s successful career in the private sector and government and fostering innovative solutions for sustainability and other environmental issues in announcing the award.
“Ms. Fisher successfully used her government experience in the private sector, leading corporate giant DuPont’s efforts to promote the future of biofuels and energy conservation,” said Christi Tezak, president, WCEE. “This is just one of the many accomplishments in her outstanding career.”
Each year WCEE honors a woman in the fields of energy and the environment who has made a strong contribution.
