Monaco, October 28, 2008. DuPont Cosmetics Solutions presents a new and innovative moulding technology based on the over-moulding of polymer inserts with DuPont™ Surlyn®. It broadens the design freedom of thick-walled cosmetic and fragrance containers by enabling the production of contrasting geometries for the internal and external walls, decoration techniques such as the encasing of label and inserts, the simple colouring of the polymer insert using masterbatch, or the application of frosted and glossy effects on the exterior surface directly from the tool.

The bottle represents a modern twist on the urban water wall. It has a rugged square shape with flat surfaces and pronounced edges, uniting the transparency of glass with the strength of metal. Merz Consumer Care’s wonderfully scented tetesept®¹ shower cream oils include fragrances such as ‘White Peach and Milk’ or ‘Lotus Blossom and Orchid’ – a freshness reflected by the pearl-white, glossy appearance of their bottles. DuPont Declares Force Majeure for Ethylene Copolymers Business Due to Hurricane Damage
WILMINGTON, Del., Sept. 18, 2008 – Hurricane Ike caused storm surge damage at DuPont’s Sabine facility in Orange, Texas. As a result, the company declared “force majeure” for its ethylene copolymers business. Based on the company’s preliminary assessment of damages, it is not clear when restart will occur at Sabine. DuPont is working closely with its customers to lessen the impact on their business.
