Personal Protection Products: For When ‘The Heat is On’
DuPont hosted Delaware Congressman Mike Castle and more than 30 local officials, first responders and firefighters in Wilmington, Del., for an overview of DuPont Personal Protection key industry products. Among the technologies showcased were DuPont™ Nomex® and DuPont™ Kevlar® fiber used in firefighter apparel and Tychem® chemical protective garments.

DuPont today announced the launch of new DuPont™ Tychem® BR garment, certified to the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 1994 Class 2, 2007 edition standard. The garment delivers enhanced liquid and vapor protection for Emergency Responders.

DuPont Acquires Cardinal Health Industrial Apparel Business
To support its growth strategy in Safety & Protection products, DuPont today announced its intent to purchase the Industrial Apparel line of Cardinal Health’s Scientific and Production Products business, which manufactures and markets a variety of products used in cleanrooms and other controlled environments.
